Industrial pure water preparation processes based on reverse osmosis inevitably generate concentrated wastewater during operation. Compared with raw water, RO concentrated water features higher conductivity, higher salt content, enriched organic pollutants and concentrated suspended impurities. In traditional factory operation modes, most concentrated water is directly discharged or simply treated and drained. This not only causes huge water resource waste, but also increases enterprise environmental protection costs. With increasingly strict national sewage discharge standards and rising water prices, direct discharge has become an unsustainable production mode.
Traditional concentrated water treatment methods have obvious limitations. Simple sedimentation and filtration can only remove suspended solids, but cannot reduce salinity and organic pollutants, resulting in ineffective water reuse. Evaporation equipment has high energy consumption and low economic benefit, which is only suitable for small-volume wastewater treatment. Conventional single-stage membrane treatment cannot adapt to complex concentrated water quality, and is prone to rapid membrane fouling and attenuation, failing to achieve long-term stable reuse effect.
Membrane graded concentration and reuse technology completely solves the technical difficulties of RO concentrated water treatment. Through scientific pretreatment and secondary membrane refining, the system carries out selective separation of salt and water in concentrated wastewater. The reusable clean water is recovered for production and workshop use, while high-salt and high-pollution components are further concentrated and reduced. The whole process adopts pure physical separation at room temperature, no chemical dosing, no secondary pollution, and realizes maximum resource recovery.
The concentrated water reuse production workflow forms a complete closed-loop cycle: original RO concentrated water → precision filtration pretreatment → secondary membrane desalination and purification → qualified reused water. After membrane treatment, the recovered clean water has stable water quality, low conductivity and meets industrial reuse standards, which can be used for equipment cooling, production batching, workshop cleaning and raw material washing. The volume of final concentrated wastewater is greatly reduced, significantly lowering subsequent treatment pressure and discharge capacity.
The system adopts fully automatic PLC intelligent control, which can adapt to fluctuations in concentrated water quality and water volume. Equipped with perfect online flushing and CIP cleaning functions, it effectively inhibits membrane surface dirt deposition, maintains stable system flux, and ensures long-term continuous and stable operation. The modular skid-mounted design saves workshop space and is convenient for new project installation and old water station renovation.
Promoting RO concentrated water membrane reuse technology has important practical significance for industrial enterprises. It greatly improves factory water recycling rate, reduces tap water consumption and sewage discharge fees, and creates direct economic benefits. At the same time, it realizes green and low-carbon production, helps enterprises meet environmental protection assessment requirements, and improves the overall level of clean production.
With the continuous improvement of industrial zero-discharge standards, concentrated water recycling technology has become an indispensable part of modern water treatment systems. Membrane-based concentrated water reduction and reuse solutions provide reliable, energy-saving and environmentally friendly technical support for enterprises to realize water resource recycling and sustainable development.
