In the industrial production of fruit juice, vegetable juice and functional beverages, raw fruits and vegetables are crushed, beaten and coarsely filtered to form crude pulp liquid. This mixed material contains not only soluble sugar, organic acids, vitamins and flavor substances, but also a large number of insoluble impurities such as plant cellulose, pectin colloids, broken cell residues and fine suspended pulp. If these unstable impurities are not removed in time, they will cause continuous precipitation and layering of the finished juice, affect product appearance and taste, and greatly reduce the shelf stability and commercial value of beverage products.

Traditional juice clarification processes have obvious technical limitations and cannot meet the production requirements of high-end pure juice and clear beverage products. Natural sedimentation takes a long time and occupies a large number of storage tanks, which easily leads to oxidative deterioration of juice and loss of fresh flavor. Conventional bag filtration and plate-frame filtration rely on filter cloth interception, which have poor removal effect on micro colloids, and are prone to clogging, frequent replacement of consumables and increased production costs. In addition, traditional filtration will cause partial loss of soluble nutrients and flavor substances, resulting in insufficient juice fragrance and low product yield.

The horizontal decanter centrifuge thoroughly solves the industry pain points of traditional fruit and vegetable juice pretreatment. Relying on high-speed rotating centrifugal force field, the equipment forms rapid density stratification inside the drum. High-density pulp residues, fibers and suspended impurities settle on the inner wall and are continuously pushed out by the spiral rotor, while low-density clear juice flows out stably. The whole process realizes continuous feeding, automatic separation and uninterrupted slag discharge, completely changing the intermittent working mode of traditional filtration equipment.

The centrifuge adopts low-shear, fully enclosed and normal-temperature separation design. It avoids juice splashing, foam generation and oxidative deterioration during processing, effectively protecting heat-sensitive vitamins, anthocyanins and natural flavor substances. Without adding diatomaceous earth, flocculants and other additives, the pure physical separation ensures clean label and pure taste of fruit and vegetable juice products. By adjusting rotating speed and differential speed, the equipment can adapt to different types of fruits and vegetables such as apple, grape, orange, carrot and green vegetable juice, realizing flexible and precise separation.

In standardized beverage production lines, the horizontal decanter centrifuge is installed after pulping and before membrane fine filtration and concentration. It removes most coarse pulp and micro-suspended impurities in one step, greatly reducing the load of subsequent ultrafiltration and nanofiltration systems. Effective removal of colloidal substances and fiber residues can significantly reduce membrane fouling rate, extend membrane service life, stabilize production flux and reduce beverage production cost. The clarified juice features high transparency, uniform texture and stable quality, which effectively avoids post-precipitation problems of finished beverages.

The equipment has large single-machine processing capacity, compact structure and small floor space, which is suitable for large-scale continuous beverage production. Fully automatic operation reduces manual operation errors and labor costs, ensuring stable batch consistency of juice quality.
