Food fermentation industries including starch fermentation, organic acid fermentation and microbial enzyme production produce massive industrial waste liquid every day. The waste liquid contains abundant recyclable resources such as residual microbial protein, unfermented starch, organic suspended solids and fine biological sediments. Traditional treatment methods such as natural sedimentation and flocculation filtration can only simply settle pollutants, failing to effectively recover high-value protein substances. A large number of usable organic resources are wasted with wastewater, while organic sediments accumulate continuously, increasing biochemical treatment pressure and overall operating costs of sewage stations.

Different from disc centrifuges suitable for fine clarification, horizontal decanter centrifuges are designed for high-load, high-solid-content material separation. High-density solid organic particles and protein sediments are rapidly settled on the inner wall of the drum, while low-density clear liquid flows out stably. The whole separation process adopts low-shear, fully enclosed sanitary design, which avoids material overflow, odor volatilization and secondary pollution. It effectively intercepts and concentrates residual microbial protein and organic solids in fermentation waste liquid.
