Dairy production generates massive wastewater rich in lactose, protein, fat and organic matter. Direct discharge causes serious environmental pollution and wastes recyclable water resources. Traditional wastewater treatment including sedimentation and biochemical tanks occupies large space, consumes high power and fails to recover reusable water efficiently. Reverse osmosis (RO) cross-flow membrane technology can intercept organic pollutants and salt substances at low temperature, realizing wastewater purification and water recycling simultaneously. This paper introduces the working principle, structural configuration, process flow and practical advantages of industrial RO membrane systems for dairy wastewater treatment. Compared with conventional treatment methods, RO membrane equipment achieves high water recovery rate, small floor area and automatic operation, helping dairy factories cut water procurement cost and meet global environmental discharge standards, delivering dual benefi
