Introduction

Traditional thermal concentration like multiple‑effect evaporator consumes huge steam and high operating cost. High‑temperature heating will destroy heat‑sensitive active substances in raw liquid, affecting product flavor and quality.

Cross‑flow membrane concentration system is a pressure‑driven physical separation solution. It completes concentration, clarification and impurity removal under room‑temperature or low‑temperature conditions. As shown on the picture, the full‑stainless‑steel modular membrane skid integrates membrane modules, high‑pressure pump, automatic valves and PLC control cabinet, ready for on‑site installation. It is widely adopted in fruit juice, fermentation broth, plant extract and biochemical liquid processing.

Working Principle of Membrane Concentration Equipment

Driven by pressure, raw liquid flows tangentially along the membrane surface (cross‑flow). Small‑molecule water and partial small solutes pass through the membrane as permeate. Target components such as sugar, active ingredients are trapped and circulated inside the system to achieve continuous concentration.

Different from dead‑end filtration, high‑speed tangential flow reduces membrane fouling. Automatic valve and CIP cleaning function guarantee stable long‑time industrial operation. No phase change happens during the whole concentration process.
