Traditional fruit wine clarification commonly adopts bentonite adsorption and diatomite filtration. These conventional methods will cause loss of aroma substances, introduce exogenous additives and generate plenty of filter waste. Cross‑flow membrane filtration becomes a promising physical clarification solution for fruit wine production. Without adding flocculants, the cross‑flow membrane system removes suspended pulp residues, colloids and microbial particles under moderate operating pressure. It stabilizes fruit wine quality and shortens the aging cycle. This article describes working principle of cross‑flow membrane, compares it with traditional clarification processes, analyzes key operating parameters and summarizes practical benefits for fruit wine manufacturers.
